Training center facing recurring issues: data loss due to lack of backups, high Microsoft Office licensing costs, passwords insecurely shared on sticky notes, and complex maintenance of 50+ heterogeneous Windows workstations.
Public cible
Trainers, students, administrative staff and management - approximately 100 daily users.
Objectif
Deploy an autonomous, secure and cost-effective infrastructure eliminating proprietary licenses while guaranteeing zero data loss and simplified maintenance.
Mon rôle
Infrastructure architect & system administrator: existing audit, architecture design, service deployment, workstation configuration and user training.
Self-hosted Nextcloud deployment with 1TB shared storage for students and trainers. Configuration of 4 automatic daily backups to remote storage ensuring zero data loss. User quota setup and retention policies implementation.
OnlyOffice Document Server integration connected to Nextcloud for collaborative Word, Excel and PowerPoint editing directly in the browser. Complete elimination of Microsoft Office licenses while maintaining format compatibility.
Vaultwarden deployment (self-hosted Bitwarden alternative) for secure password management. Multi-device sync for the entire team, strong password generator and secure sharing of sensitive credentials.
Configuration of ~50 workstations with custom Zorin OS Education image. Locked-down and secure system, identical environment across all workstations, centralized updates and simplified maintenance.
Showcase website development connected to Slack for automatic notifications of statistics and appointment requests. Internal workflow automation via webhooks and API integration.
